Hello and welcome back hunters! This weeks post will focus on answering questions in the comments and explain one of the most crucial elements of the monster hunter series, forging weapons and armor. Sadly, I do not possess any of the equipment for video capture so I cannot post actual videos of me hunting, I will try to post as many useful pictures as possible. The other question found in the comments leads us to today's topic, where did I get my armor?
Armor and weapons in Monster Hunter are primarly made by smithys with materials you carve from slain monsters or gather from the various regions found in the game. You can also buy armor and weapons from a merchant located by the smithy but the gear from these merchants is often way below the calibur of the gear you can forge and upgrade to at the smithy.
Each armor piece requires a certain number of materials as well as a number of those materials to be created and can be upgraded using armor spheres. Armor does not upgrade into new pieces, using armor spheres only increases that piece of armor's stats.
Weapons, like armor, require a certain number of materials and a certain number of those materials to be created. Weapons upgrade to weapons that may carry a new or similar appearance to the previous weapon depending on which material branch you choose to upgrade along.
With this knowledge you should be well on your way to being armed and armored. Next week besides answering questions, I will dwelve into the armory and talk about the weapons of Monster Hunter.

This is hard for me to follow because I am not familiar with the game. I am sure people that play the game will find this helpful.
